Meet Ryan

Ryan joined Dunkin’ Arizona, the “Dunkin’ West” arm of Southpaw, as an assistant manager, where he helped the general manager with the operation of the store, hiring and training crew, and assisting with inventory & orders. 

Ryan rapidly rose up in the company and was promoted to general manager after just four months, then to district manager after just three years with the company! Now, Ryan works closely with the general managers in his area to uphold company standards, identify opportunities, create action plans to improve opportunities within the stores, and build positive leadership within the company through motivating and mentorship. 

We asked Ryan what initially attracted him to the company, and he credits the upbeat, face-paced, and fun environment. “All of the management members, from other general managers to the district managers, seemed to be positive and welcoming,” Ryan says. “It was refreshing to see a positive work environment where everyone works together and shows appreciation towards each other.” 

He loves the family-like relationships that make Southpaw so unique, and it still makes him excited to come to work each day. Our managers, Ryan included, work hard to ensure that everyone at Southpaw feels valued and supported. 

“Management has been wonderful and supportive every step of the way,” Ryan told us. “From helping when you need time off, to rewarding you for hard work, to just being there to vent to, they are 100% the best people I’ve ever worked for.” Ryan found this inspiring from the get-go and has done an amazing job of upholding these values as a Southpaw District Manager. 

Every day at work is different for Ryan, and that’s just the way he likes it. “For better or worse, you never know what each day will bring,” says Ryan. “But that’s what makes it exciting. And in the end, it’s rewarding to have an impact on our fellow team members as well as our guests.”
